Efficient Second-Order Predicate Schema Matching Algorithm

چکیده
A schema is an abstracted or a generalized knowledge to help with solving problems. A second-order predicate schema matching is a problem of computing the matchers of a pair 〈P, p〉 such that P is a second-order predicate schema and p is a first order closed formula. The second-order matching is known as NP-complete,in general. We propose a new matching algorithm based on the pre-checking of the usable rules, and show that an efficient matching algorithm can be established under this approach for some classes which are important from practical view point.

An Improved Semantic Schema Matching Approach
Schema matching is a critical step in many applications, such as data warehouse loading, Online Analytical Process (OLAP), Data mining, semantic web [2] and schema integration. This task is defined for finding the semantic correspondences between elements of two schemas. Recently, schema matching has found considerable interest in both research and practice. In this paper, we present a new impr...
متن کاملTractable and Intractable Second-Order Matching Problems
The second-order matching problem is the problem of determining, for a finite set {〈ti, si〉 | i ∈ I} of pairs of a second-order term ti and a first-order closed term si, called a matching expression, whether or not there exists a substitution σ such that tiσ = si for each i ∈ I . It is well-known that the second-order matching problem is NP-complete. In this paper, we introduce the following re...
متن کاملSLINT+ results for OAEI 2013 instance matching
The goal of instance matching is to detect identity resources, which refer to the same real-world object. In this paper, we introduce SLINT+, a novel interlinking system. SLINT+ detects all identity linked data resources between two given repositories. SLINT+ does not require the specifications of RDF predicates and labeled matching resources. SLINT+ performs competitively at OAEI instance matc...
متن کاملAn Efficient Adaptive Boundary Matching Algorithm for Video Error Concealment
Sending compressed video data in error-prone environments (like the Internet and wireless networks) might cause data degradation. Error concealment techniques try to conceal the received data in the decoder side. In this paper, an adaptive boundary matching algorithm is presented for recovering the damaged motion vectors (MVs). This algorithm uses an outer boundary matching or directional tempo...
متن کاملFast Convex Closure for Efficient Predicate Detection
The behaviour of parallel and distributed programs can be modeled as the occurrence of events and their interrelationship. Event data collected according to the event model is stored within a partial-order data structure, where it can be reasoned about, enabling debugging, program steering, and autonomic feedback control of the application. Reasoning over event data, a critical requirement for ...
